Privacy policy

This website collects as little personal data as possible. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third-party servers. What is processed, and why, is set out below in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

1. Controller

Nexonomics, Vipin Ravindran (proprietor), Portimão, Portugal. Email: info@nexonomics.com. Tax number (NIF) 296779253.

2. Server logs when you visit the site

When you open a page, the web server hosting nexonomics.com automatically records technical data: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system you use. These logs are needed to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to diagnose faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted. They are not combined with other data about you.

3. Fonts, maps and other content

All fonts, the map graphic and every other element of this site are served from our own web server. No connection is made to Google, to a content delivery network or to any other third party when you view the site.

4. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels, embedded social media or advertising technology. There is consequently no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

5. Contact form and email

If you write to us, we process the data you send (your name, email address, company and the content of your message) in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare and perform a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We keep correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your request and thereafter as required by commercial and tax retention rules in Portugal. Email is transmitted through our email provider; we recommend not sending sensitive information by unencrypted email.

The contact form on this site is hosted on our own server. The data you enter (name, email address, company, chosen market and topics, and your message) is sent by email to us and is not passed to any external form service. To limit automated abuse we also record the IP address the submission came from and the time it was sent, and we store a short-lived counter of recent submissions per IP address; this is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the site against spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing the form data is voluntary, but without a name, email address and message we cannot answer your enquiry.

6. Recipients and transfers

Personal data is disclosed only to the service providers we need to operate the site and our email (hosting and email providers), which act on our instructions, and to authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You have the right to obtain access to your personal data, to have it rectified or erased, to have processing restricted, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, email info@nexonomics.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), cnpd.pt. You may also contact the authority in your own country, for example the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, the state data protection authority responsible for you in Germany, or the Datenschutzbehörde in Austria.

8. Security

This site is delivered over HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

9. Changes

We will update this policy when the site or the law changes. The current version is always available at nexonomics.com/datenschutz.html.
